A mural is a piece of artwork, painted directly on a wall, ceiling or other permanent substrate. Its intention is to display a political, cultural, or community sentiment.  
 
Portland has a plethora of fascinating and ever-changing murals.  I have spent the last 2 years exploring Portland and its many neighborhoods, searching for and photographing these wonderful works of art.
