About the Creator
I have always loved photography. My first camera was borrowed from my parents. It was a black Kodak 110, and it had a very small negative, which meant low quality photos. Despite its limitations, it was a wonderful camera to learn the basics of photography: composition, lighting, focus, and depth of field. As I became more competent, I began to experiment with different cameras, lenses, and film stocks. Along the way, I discovered the beauty of Black and White with all of its richness and subtleties, and it became my favorite medium. Today I try to have my camera with me at all times, because the best opportunities always happen when you least expect them. Black and White film can be gritty, bold and dramatic. It can also be soft, moody and ethereal. Its versatility allows me to creatively capture a moment in time.
