Christopher Cavey a profile.

Is a well known gemmologist with a background of mineralogy, and of research in various aspects of the history of gemstones and their use in jewellery. He has a great interest in engraved gemstones, especially intaglio's, he also has an avid interest in symbolical, ritualistic, and emblematic jewelry.

He is the former Curator of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, is a well known member of the Society of Jewelry Historians, and has been a consultant to a number of Museums and The Royal Collection.

He has know retired from business and enjoys living in the countryside
